Why we do this

Where the streets preach through paint and passion

Art Waco TX is two friends, David Sr. and Luke — and it started with a dream. A real one, the kind you wake up from: years ago, David Sr. dreamed that people were coming to Waco just to see our outdoor art. Since then we've watched the art multiply across this city, wall by wall and sculpture by sculpture. The dream is coming true.

Now the streets really are preaching. Parking lots are becoming holy ground as color and creativity collide. We're in a revival in our city.

So we walk the city, map what we find, and write the stories that make you want to bring your kids, your grandmother, and your out-of-town friends. Our job is to make sure nobody drives past the wonder without knowing it's there.

History

Waco's First Residents Were Mammoths. You Can Still Meet the Family.

In 1978 two Waco men hunting arrowheads found a femur. It became a national monument — America's only Columbian mammoth nursery herd — and in 2024, a 14,000-pound bronze family joined them across town.
