8A Wall of Georges
George's — caricature mural, “Waco, Tx · since 1930”MURAL
Every face on this wall is named George. That's it. That's the mural.
George's has been feeding Waco since 1930, and at some point somebody had the only idea this restaurant ever needed: paint all the Georges. So here they are, sharing one wall — George Washington, presidential and unbothered; George W. Bush; George Foreman with his gloves up; and off to one side, a complete tiny cowboy tipping his hat, because George Strait was obviously going to be here too.
The scale is gloriously, deliberately broken. Everyone else is a four-foot floating head. Strait is a six-inch entire person, standing inside Foreman's boxing ring, tipping his hat like he wandered into a title fight and nobody had the heart to mention it.
