25Keep Going (Two Words, Two Meanings)

Two transparent block letters' worth of advice over waves and clouds, with a photorealistic mason jar of marbles sitting quietly at the end like a punctuation mark. KEEP GOING is a double agent. To the Silos crowds two blocks away it means: don't stop at Magnolia — keep walking, there's a whole city out here. To the people who live here it means the other thing, the one everybody needed painted ten feet tall in the summer of 2020.

Painted by Will Suarez and Joe Rooster over a wall that had been vandalized — the best possible revenge on graffiti being better graffiti. And this building is generous with its art: around the side, facing the barbecue joint, the French stencil legend Blek le Rat left another of his six Waco pieces, honoring Kurt Kaiser, the Waco composer of “Pass It On.” One wall says keep going; the other says pass it on. The building gives better advice than most people.
