“Feed Your Body, Feed Your Soul” — Will Suarez, 2019, Union HallMURAL

Van Gogh's sky, whisked by a giant grandma-issue egg beater.

For a while this was the wall we knew existed but couldn't pin — our Starry Night, lost without its GPS. Found it: Union Hall, the downtown food hall, where Will Suarez painted a Van Gogh-swirled night sky being whisked into existence by a giant vintage hand-crank egg beater. The title says the quiet part: Feed Your Body, Feed Your Soul. Dinner downstairs, Van Gogh upstairs.

Suarez might be Waco's busiest wall-painter, and this one comes with a bonus: he co-owns the coffee stand inside, where the best seller is his Dirty Horchata — rice water, agave, two shots of espresso, and, in his words, a little bit of Mexican culture mixed in. Very few cities let you stand in a parking lot, look at a masterpiece homage, then walk twenty feet and order the artist's own drink. Do both.

Is this your wall?
