Duke is a Texas gentleman of the old school, and a gentleman always lets others go first. On his way to the zoo he stepped aside to let a family pass — and then another family, and then a jogger, and then a dog who was very excited about a squirrel. He's still waiting for a polite moment to continue. It has been years. He does not mind. After you, he says. He insists.
