One painted word and one small dancer, doing a whole building's worth of hospitality.
A small building on Franklin Avenue says one word to the street, in tall red letters across the top of a white wall: BIENVENIDOS. Below it, a lone painted figure — a little dancer in traditional dress, dark braids, full skirt — stands mid-step against all that white, as if the welcome itself sent her out front.
That's the entire piece, and it doesn't need another brushstroke. Most walls on this trail work hard: history, jokes, hundred-foot compositions. This one has a single job, the oldest one in any language — come in, you're wanted here — and it does it with one word and one girl in dancing shoes.
