You Were Made to Bloom — painted by Kalyn Dunks for Baylor Flowers, 1105 La Salle AveMURAL
A florist painted its benediction on the wall — then set out a chalkboard asking for your picture.
Baylor Flowers has been pinning boutonnieres on nervous Waco prom dates for more than forty years, and in 2025 it finally bought a corner of its own — 11th and La Salle — and dressed it the only way a florist would: giant line-drawn blooms climbing the white brick, sunflower and tulip and ranunculus and one defiant blue thistle, under a hand-scripted benediction: You were made to bloom.
Painter Kalyn Dunks did the flowers; the shop did the rest — flower boxes, striped awnings, fresh paint on an avenue Waco keeps saying is about to be the next big thing. The shop's owner says out loud that she wants to be in on the beginning of La Salle's comeback, and this wall is her opening argument. Then, in the most honest move on this whole trail, they set a chalkboard on the sidewalk that reads: Take your mural pics! Tag us in your posts. Every wall on this page secretly wants your camera. This is the only one polite enough to ask.
Is this your wall?
